The Finance Department, overseen by Finance Director Chris Phillips, is responsible for the administration of the financial functions of the City. This consists of overseeing all accounting, and fixed assets records, investment of funds, collection and disbursement processes, billing for services and administration of budgets.
The Finance Department is a support and service department that provides information and services to both internal and external customers. Need to get water hooked up to a residence or building inside the City? The Department's Customer Service Division is there to help. The Department also issues privilege licenses and peddler licenses as well as sending out the water and sanitation bills.
Utility bills are sent out on the 18th and 30th of each month. Payments are due on the 5th and 19th of the month. Payments should be mailed to the City of Reidsville Finance Department, 230 W. Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC 27320. Customers can use the debit/credit card service in person or over the phone by calling 336-349-1001. A night depository drop box is also available at the rear of City Hall.
The Finance Department also helps other employees by providing financial data and information to internal customers, such as other City departments, contractors, the City Manager and City Council.
The Finance Department has won the prestigious Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association for the past 12 years.
