Tentative Schedule

February 23

Disc Golf Tournament -- "Lake Reidsville Ice Bowl," will be held at the Lake's Edge course at Lake Reidsville Recreation Park, 630 Waterworks Road, Reidsville. Signup is at 9:30 a.m. with tee time around 10 a.m. Cost is $15 with everyone receiving "something." A  Players Meeting is scheduled for 9:55 a.m. at the Park Store. The first round is Singles, an hour lunch then the second round will be a doubles competition. This is a non-sanctioned event to raise money for Reidsville Parks & Recreation. New Life Baptist Church will hold an all-day gospel sing beginning at 12:30 p.m. and continuing until. There will be food and music at the amphitheatre. No charge other than regular gate fee. The public is invited.

Lake Reidsville will also hold a cookout for campers as part of its Memorial Day Weekend festivities.

The Antique Watercraft & Engines Show, sponsored by the NC & SC Chapters of the Antique Outboard Motor Club, is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Night Bass Tournament

The City of Reidsville is holding its first-ever "Antique Treasure Trove" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors to the lake are invited to bring 1-2 items for appraisal by local experts, who will give you an idea of whether your items are "junk" or "treasure." These are not appraisals for insurance purposes but estimates by local experts in a variety of areas on whether your items may be of value. Categories include jewelry, coins, postcards, sports cards, military and confederate items, Indian items, old toys, glassware, furniture, knives, Reidsville items, fishing items, old tools, Scout patches, etc. Concessions will be available, along with music by Rockingham County DJ Jerry Martin. The only cost is regular gate entry fees -- $1 per car for Reidsville City residents and $2 per car for non-City residents. The event is part of Lake Reidsville's year-long "Year of the Lake" celebration for the recreation park's 25th anniversary.

July 4

Doors open at 12 noon for Lake Reidsville's annual Independence Day celebration on Friday, July 4. Rides and concessions will be available throughout the day. The band, "Total Silence," will take to the amphitheatre stage from 6-8 p.m., followed by the highly popular "Chairman of the Board" headlining the celebration beginning around 8-8:30 p.m. One of the biggest fireworks displays in the area will begin around 10 p.m. Cost for entry to the park will be $5 per car. Come join us as the City of Reidsville celebrates Lake Reidsville's 25th anniversary!

In conjunction with the Neals, Lake Reidsville will host a "Back to School" party from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gate fees will apply. Vendors will provide food and inflatables for a small fee.

August 23

The City of Reidsville will hold "Art in the Park" from 3-9 p.m. Part of Lake Reidsville's 25th anniversary celebration, the event will showcase the talents of the area's artists and artisans. Local artists will be showing their works and demonstrating their crafts at this first-ever showing. The event will include music, interactive demonstrations and the one-act play, "Children of Eden," from The Theatre Guild of Rockingham County beginning at dusk. The play/musical is based on the story of Noach.

Labor Day Weekend - Dance for Campers

This annual event, sponsored by the Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department and WQMG 97.1 Radio, is scheduled from 12 noon until 6 p.m. A variety of bands, foods, arts and crafts will be available. Regular gate fees apply.

Songbear Productions will offer the music of a variety of bands for this event. More details to follow.
